Privacy Policy

Grihusta is a similar spiritual belief, values, practices, and sect-oriented matchmaking platform for finding a compatible life partner, as per the Dharmic preferences of its members.

Grihusta (hereinafter referred to as “the Platform”) and the Licensed Mobile Application for Accessing the Platform (including all associated media and online or electronic documentation) (hereinafter referred to as “the Application”) both, are owned and operated jointly and severally by the Platform.

A Visitor to the Platform, whether or not he/she has made any payment for availing access and/or services on the Platform, including the general browsers of the Platform, whether registered or not, are hereinafter referred to as “the User(s).

ThePlatform i.e. Grihusta ensures compliance with the requirements of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rules made there under to ensure the protection and preservation of your privacy.

The User is required to submit certain personal information that may be displayed on the Site to facilitate the matchmaking process for the life partner.

This policy sets out the principle of privacy adopted and/or proposed by ‘Grihusta’ the platform herein, for the use of the Site/ app and membership. It also describes the procedure of collection of User’s Personal Information, its uses, disclosure, and transfer of personal information of users through the Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to those who visit the Platform, or whose information is otherwise received in connection with the platform’s services.

The Platform may modify this policy from time to time.

The User hereby provides consent to collect, process, and share his/her personal information with other users to provide the services. The usage of “You" or “Your” in the instant Privacy Policy shall mean the person who is accessing the Platform.

Types of Personal Information gathered by Grihusta while the User avails the Platform’s services:

  1. The user might at the time of registering at the platform be required to submit his/her Personal Information including name, date of birth, gender, profession, current location, email address, mobile number, mother tongue, country, state/nationality, gender, city, pin code, marital status, height, income etc.

  2.  Documentary details to ascertain User’s age, address, income etc., to authenticate the credibility of User’s profile.

  3. Information regarding communication with other users over the platform, and associated information which a user prefers to be provided to other respective users as part of such communication.

  4. User’s record and communication may be recorded to the extent which is permissible as per the Law of the Land.

  5. Testimonials submitted by the user including success story and photos.

  6. Payment related information to ascertain the completion of registration process, information of services availed by the user, device and/or device location, log information and instant location information during the usage of the Platform.

  7. The user may share with the Platform any additional information in pursuance to the user’s photos, videos, personality, sect, faith, organisation to which the user is spiritually associated with, cultural preferences, family details, contact address and any other details which the user may wish to share with consent.

  8. The Platform may record or monitor the Communication carried out by the user with the platform through its customer care team, along with the mode including the social media platforms and its respective accounts, to ensure a better service.

Non-Disclosure of User’s Personal Information

The Platform i.e. Grihusta does not disclose or share any information of the Users to its employees or any third party except to fulfil the functions to provide, operate, develop, or improve the Platform’s products or services.

The platform may share user’s information to third parties including enforcement, regulatory and judicial authorities, if disclosure of such aforementioned information is necessary for the compliance of any subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or b) investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Platform’s Terms & Conditions or as otherwise required by law.

The platform may share user’s information to third parties in case of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets or any other situation involving the transfer of the platform’s business assets.

Also the user’s information may be shared to facilitate marketing and advertisement of the platform, or to the users while they visit the platform.

The platform i.e. Grihusta has deployed significant resources to ensure safekeeping and maintain confidentiality of user’s personal data using service providers acting as processors and other technical resources. The platform has adequate physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the laws prevalent in India to protect user’s Personal Information.
